Float/Undercover

By  Lucy Brown 2006

Stephen Parsons

Dimensions
69cm x 92cm x 51cm (variable)

This work has two titles. If installed from the shoulders, hanging, then work is titled 'Float'. When installed on floor it is titled 'Undercover'. The original garment used is a St Michael nylon nightdress, to fit bust size 38/402, which had two layers. It is the inner layer, which has been reconstructed through weave, exploring the inners self, which often remains hidden. Part of the Constance Howard Resource and research Centre in Textiles: Special Collections: Goldsmiths College. University of London
