"Forest Rocket"

By  Tim Pugh 2021
The woodland installation was created at Hawarden Woods in Flintshire,North Wales in January 2021.The woodland is an ideal outdoor studio in which to experiment with responding to ideas and is close to home.Throughout the Covid pandemic ,the wood has provided a much needed creative lifeline and has an interesting variety of man made objects interspersed with the natural flora and fauna. The place where I mainly work ,fringes on a grouse shooting area and its here that I used a bird feeder as a base to install a spiky pyramid of snowballs. The playfull form resembles a rocket and increasingly reflects my desire to combine natural and manmade materials, whilst also referring to plastic contamination in the countryside environment.
