Found Flora and Sherds

Flowers concealed within the pages of secondhand books and flower presses, ceramic sherds discovered facedown in the soil of woodland paths - I reveal and lavish attention on these forgotten, hidden and discarded signs of life, rich with unknown stories, meaning and histories. 

I drew and painted their likeness in watercolour. Some were straightforward to capture, others took days and days of layering paint and pencil to achieve accurate colour and surface texture.
