Fragment

This WED clay sculpture explores artefacts from a culture that no longer exists and all that is left is the fragments from their makers. The image explores the ideas associated with the gods and goddesses of the natural world - investigating the humans' need to encapsulate their mythologies in objects used to venerate or contain their experiences in objects for the rest of their tribe or community. The object has been deliberately broken after completion.
