This temporary snow intervention was created at an old railway location at Yeathouse in West Cumbria in January 2021.The curved branch was an intriguing canvas in which to create a decorative artwork using semi frozen bracken fronds .The leaves were gently pressed into the soft snow and I had to use ungloved fingers to achieve the sensitive manipulation.Wisps of occasional breezes threatened to dislodge snow from branches above and the intense cold made the creative experience a challenging activity. My spirits were kept up by encouragement from passing walkers and the welcome appearance of the sun halfway through.
