The Gorilla Family comprises the mother and her twins hand- carved from a seven tonne boulder of granite from Dalbeattie Quarry near the Solway Firth, Scotland. The granite is 397 million years old. Once again Ronald Rae celebrates an endangered species. On his website you can see three videos following the creation of the work over seven months.
