Heavy Horse and Foal

By Ronald Rae 2006 - 2007

Pauline MacDonald

This sculpture portrays an age gone-by before the Industrial Revolution when heavy horses did the work of machines on farms and along the waterways of Britain. This tender work expresses s the love that animals have for their offspring. Carved over ten months with hand tools this is truly a masterpiece of its kind. Currently on loan to Scottish Canals at Lock 14 Crinan Canal. For sale.
