Part of a series of site-specific works commissioned by Unravelled Arts for ‘Unravelling Nymans’ exhibition. ‘I serve only you…’ is about Addy, Maud Messels lady’s’ maid who carried out hundreds of repetitive tasks for Maud during her 60 year plus of loyal service to Maud. One of which would be to dress and brush Maud’s hair…. Over the years Addy gathered Maud’s hair from Maud’s hair brush. The work references how Maud and Addy aged alongside each other and their professional-personal, employer and employee relationship.
