In guidance of strolling or lost thoughts

Created for 'Enshrine', The Crypt Gallery London, 2018, my response to the exhibition theme, and the evocative context of the subterranean gallery, was a gilded wooded tablet to act as a memorial to some of the transient thoughts that motivate me to continue to create art. The work aims to evoke associations with headstones and memorials, as well as the desire to commit into text the memory of something lost. Formed of fragile materials, the tablet is a testament to the passing of the humble thoughts that have inspired the object itself and the very temporal nature of their existence.
