painted and stained black-out fabric, 260cm x 165cm, hanging from a frame
Italy 2015/16
The black-out fabric has been used as a work surface from November 2015 until January 2016. Most of the traces, drawings, writings are part of various other works. I first intended to stretch the fabric at the end of a few months as I was interested in the pattern the traces would naturally form. Eventually I decided to simply hang it from a wooden frame and let it hang like drapery that reminds me (and hopefully the viewer as well) of Renaissance paintings.
