"Llano Sediment Spiral "

By  Tim Pugh 2019
I created the temporary installation during my 17 day stay at Llano,Texas, U.S.A. attending the Llano Earth Art Festival in March 2019.I was invited out to create artworks in the build up to the festival and on the last day decided to compete in the artistic section of the World Rockstacking Championships.I created "Leaf Sediment Spiral " on a tiny island in the River Llano in response ,using mud mixed with mud to paint out the spiral complimented with rock stacks. To my amazement it was announced later that I won the artistic section and was awarded a medal and sandstone trophy to take home to Wales.
