Lode

A merger of art, science and the environment, this project began during a self-directed residency travelling by narrowboat from Nottingham to the River Thames. I gathered water samples from sources close to the waterway I was on. An initial question was 'Would I want to swim here?' This was followed up by a residency at Broadway Gallery, Nottingham where I collected new samples from water courses around Nottingham and tested them for bacteria, nitrite, nitrate etc. Supported by Near Now, Broadway
