MA Fine Art Graduation Show

The Uncanny Home is the culmination of a 2 year part time MA in Fine Art. The work incorporates film, sculpture and Installation which explores the relationship between the body and the home. In the same way that the body changes so does the home, both are unbounded and in process. When the function of the home changes, its boundaries become fragile. This wok is a built room and the viewer crosses a threshold and in so doing becomes part of the work. Objects are placed within the space and each object connects with the others thus initiating a train of thought allowing the viewer to step into the spaces in between the objects encouraging encounters with them in relation to the space.
