Manifest Six

The liminal space is both material and conceptual; it is the space between real/unreal, solid/nebulous and between figurations and abstractions. The painting references walls from the Pompeii “House of Meleager”, now in Naples Archaeological Museum. In this painted reality “inaccuracies” reflect the fact that their referents are also paintings with compelling but unsettling perspectives and liminal space. Oil on deep canvas.
