Systems series - engineering exam drawings, gouache, pen & ink, card, watercolour

Systems is a series of Intervention drawings, where I have drawn, painted and collaged over engineering exam papers from the 1950s. They represent a change in our thinking about old structures and ways of doing things. How they are both valuable and historical, but also restrictive and bias. Challenging thinking that asks us to believe in systems that are over simplified to consider an alternative potential with increased complexity and possibilities for harmony in difference and uncertainty.
