This image is comprised of pulped and shredded slavery documents, financial records and indentured contracts from the 16th to the 21st Century. The material is mixed with gesso and sandstone rock powder and wallpaper paste. By complete accident the word membership from a financial document happened to land the way it did - a complete by-chance accident. The tablet of pulped material also has imprinted slavery and indentured routes from Indonesia to Africa, Africa to America and the UK to America. The routes were sowed into the white cotton mesh using black and white cotton, as both white and black people were used as slaves from the 1500s to the present day with modern slavery.
