A large installation created from two-way mirror film, the labyrinth is intended to promote introspection and provide a therapeutic and transformative experience. Underpinning its creation are multi-layered concepts, including Jung's notion of individuation, Lacan's concept of the mirror stage and the Real, Freud's notion of the uncanny. The labyrinth and mirror are symbolic of transcendence and the otherworldly. Originally situated at the Harwich Arts and Heritage Centre the mirror labyrinth is reinstalled at the University of East London as part of the 2024 Doctorate Showcase in Fine Art.
