One Kilogramme of Red Wool

By  Rachel Johnston 2009 - 2012

Rachel Johnston

In this piece I am continuing to explore themes of measurement, place and narrative through the construction and wearing of shoe-like objects; each pair is made of woven wool, wire and felt and is made around my own foot. Each pair was worn on a journey and became shaped by the environment in which it was worn. The weight and colour of wool used is specified in the title and relates to the story of a journey.
