The Cyclepath artwork was installed at Moor Row in September 2020 during my first spell as Artist in Residence for Sustrans. I created railway related and Environmental Art installations along the former freight railway line, making use of site specific materials en route. The Cyclepath is named 'Tracks of the Ironmasters ', and is part of the Coast to Coast walking route. The artwork reflects the identity and theme of the Cyclepath /walkway,and is formed of my footprints dipped in iron ore mud and then printed onto paper. This is in reference to the former iron ore mining industry in the area and also to the often long cross country walks to work ,the miners often had to undertake to the mines.Their journeys to work often were many miles, often undertook at night and in all weathers.
