Painted Bunting Drawing.

The artwork is a mixed media drawing of a Painted Bunting sketched onto a rusty metal plate at Llano in Texas during my visit to a Land Art festival in March 2026.I was invited as an  artist in residence to participate in the festival and prior to the festival weekend,artists are encouraged to fill the festival park with temporary artworks for visitors to view.I found a rusty metal plate and spent a few hours sketching out a depiction of a Painted Bunting bird which is native to the area using a wide range of mixed media.This was my fourth visit to the festival which I always enjoy and view as an opportunity to experiment with new materials and  to create artworks with new natural resources.
