studies/paintings: based on field trip through Malaysia and Thailand material: acrylic and ink on sugar paper On a field trip through Malaysia and Thailand during the winter months of 2023 I collected various images and stories as a starting point for new work. Once back in Margate, UK, I began making studies of plant life. What I thought would be studies have become paintings. This series is mainly about painting. I am trying to stay away from political statements, obvious narratives and such.
