Portrait of a Thousand Faces

An image composed of a thousand portraits of various lost generations of people from throughout history from the ancient past to the present era. Each drawn with charcoal, fixed and covered with gesso. each layer added on top of one another until one thousand had been drawn. Then the image was rubbed back through each layer, producing one face composed of many. Charcoal on gesso on cotton canvas.
