Gateway sculpture commission for the 'Ginger for Life' garden project at the Queen Sirikit Botanical Garden, Chiang Mai, Thailand. (June 2015).
'Prata dharma racksa'. Pratu meaning gateway in Thai, is an architectural site specific sculpture created for the garden. Framing a gateway to the garden, the work aims to inspire one to reflect upon the grandeur of nature and the joys of gardening. Honouring those who care and nurture in tune with nature. Made from locally sourced sustainable bamboo. The work is still evolving and changing, as the garden grows.
The QSBG carry out scientific research into conservation and the properties of plants for medical research. The ginger garden is a collection of ginger plants native to Thailand and internationally.
