Environmental installation. For 'A Breath of Fresh Air' artists were invited to create work on the land attached to a large farm; it includes paddocks, gardens and some woodland on the outskirts of Aberdeen. Arriving only a few days prior to the opening meant a rapid response to site was needed. I had experimented with monofilament already because it is very a flexible medium which could be adapted to virtually any space. RAY is based on ellipitical form marked out on the grass with lengths of monofilament, gathered to a tapering point on the tree.
