Right Here Right Now is a digital artwork that employs the globally recognized Star Wars intro format, customised with urgent messaging. By using this iconic cinematic style, the piece aims to engage audiences who may have little or no awareness of the proposed Geological Disposal Facility (GDF) for high-level nuclear waste in our local area.
This project serves as a warning, the Nuclear Waste Services have failed to fully inform the community about the devastating social, environmental, and economic impacts such a facility would bring. Instead, they have presented events that emphasize perceived benefits without mentioning any of the risks.
