Rose X

An oil painting capturing the likeness of an ex-slave from the USA. Through archives I re-find images to turn into paintings, adding a little colour where I feel it needs to be, bringing some life do an otherwise greytoned photograph, taken to record a time long forgotten, by those paid by the Federal Government to collect, keeping them in work during the era of the depression.
