Shell Sketch

Shell Sketch is part of an ongoing series of outdoor drawings, created on boulders off the beach in north west Wales. Seaside and tidal debris materials are picked from the tideline and sketched onto smooth limestone, fossil encrusted boulders, such as this shell using compressed charcoal and white chalk. Due to its temporary nature, medium format photography is used to record the results.
