Solstice Tree.

The temporary artwork was created around Solstice time in December 2021 at Hawarden Estate ,Flintshire as part of a self initiated project exploring the use of late Autumnal natural materials. I created a totemic response using Hazel leaves threaded through branches which were then pinned into the bark grooves of a Silver Birch tree.The temporary artwork resembles a seasonal tree emerging from the misty background and the large yellow leaves helped to amplify its imposing presence.
