Tailored Solutions (`C-Wall')

By Bob Budd 2010

`C-Wall' - Chesil Beach, Portland, UK I extended the line of the sea wall to make a big `C’. These works came about after I had met an old local tailor - I was originally attracted by his shop, which looked as if it had come from the 19th century. It seemed he had moved down to Portland from Manchester because of his love of the sea and for sailing. My works were an attempt to bring together two very different themes – tailoring and the beach/sea. I started by imagining the beach as the tailor’s work table………..
