Textscape

The Print Shed 2015 Artist in Residence show featuring Catherine Wynne-Paton About We currently have greater access to information than ever before, yet it seems that we make less use of it simply because of its abundance. And are we surrounded by knowledge, yet we just don’t understand it? Writing, and therefore knowledge is all around us in this show, yet much of its meaning is out of reach. In this intervention, Catherine has created a trail of illegible and unfamiliar writing in the grass, trees, stones and flowers to bring the notion to life. Using Jill Barnebys garden as a canvas and attempting to create a textscape, she takes writing for a walk and explores knowledge in our physical world.
