In the last few years my work has revolved around a quest to access the knowledge we hold within ourselves, most recently involving collecting, sifting and responding to questions and words with a multimedia approach, often involving improvisational dance and piano resulting in performances and more recently videos forming my project The Lost Library.
?
During the first lockdown I embraced my instinct to connect with others. With two performances of The Lost Library cancelled lined up for spring 2020 I sourced questions and concerns from people and pondered them through movement, capturing it on video and sharing the results on Vimeo.
I also made and displayed gouache paintings on newspaper in my pavement side window, The One Picture Gallery
My current project Advice from my future self on the world of work which involves giving advice from my imagined accomplished future self in the form of illustrated talks.
So far I have given talks on the theme of work and my own experience of neurodiversity to a hybrid audience during my residency at Made in Roath in Cardiff on Starting a new job and Loving your Job. This project also involves working with Growing Space, Abergavenny where I am Artist in Residence, co-creating a workshops with people coming to the gardens for therapeutic activity to support their mental health.
I have recently joined a dance collective Groundwork Pro where I am learning techniques from professional dancers to develop my movement practice.
