The Arrival

Sculpture in Steel and Bronze inspired by heritage , landscape and environment of Crowland Town in Lincolnshire. The work cites the arrival of St Guthlac founder of Crowland Abbey in the 7th C . The form also refers to the Waterways . that would have run through the Town and under the Trinity Bridge in the centre of the town. The work has the form of an eclipse dating it to 2015 with a contemporary celestial reference. The sculpture was commissioned by Transported in collaboration with the Crowland Arts Trail and Crowland Parish Council
