The Domesic: a Residency at The Garage, Bristol

During a four week residency Bristol-based artists Henny Burnett, Esmé Clutterbuck and Emma Gregory worked collaboratively at The Garage; a residency and artist run space set up in Bristol by the artist Helen Acklam. Their intention was to bring together pieces from their respective practices and respond to the content created by simple acts of juxtaposition, exploring common ground, that included the domestic, gender and motherhood. Original ideas around nurture and feeding were developed and modified. Processes that are often more private became shared and new work was made collaboratively.
