The Dreams of Artists

This was very much a restful painting made alongside more torturous work. It explores the freedom of a sketchbook and was an exercise in maintaining the openness and incomplete investigation that a sketchbook can hold, within a painting. It combines work from a number of sketches, although the main composition and colour palette is evolved from one particular drawing.
