Thin Place

I revisited an ancient site where I'd previously followed an archaeological survey. It was a December night and there was a full Moon hanging over the nocturnal landscape that illuminated the extent of the progress of ‘newbuild’ construction that was now taking place. In the hollow created by heavy machinery gouging out the earth for new foundations, it was easy to imagine what might have been there around 2,000 years ago.
