UNE-EN II

By  Sharon Baker 2012
This print is in an edition of 12 & exhibited at the Worcester Open 2013 and the Ludlow Open 2013. It is from a series of small photopolymer etchings based on the manhole covers, hydrants and boundary boxes we pass by every day. I am interested in the geometric designs, numerals and text they display, as well as their presence as historical markers of urbanisation and as access points to the networks and infrastructure that underpin our lives. Image size 80 x 80 mm, paper/mount size 190 x 240 mm
