Vienna diary

By Jay Rechsteiner 2016
I am interested in taking slightly fragmented intimate pictures of people, objects and places that are part of a shared moment or an event, of a series of actions, a journey. These fragments give subtle hints of what is going on, they are open to interpretation without fixed beginnings and ends. Some of the picture reveal more than others. The individual pictures are part of a gesamt(kunst)werk making my photographic work not so much about the discrete unit but rather about a cohesive story. This photographic series tells the story of my stay in Vienna from end of July to end of September. more: http://jay-rechsteiner-photography.weebly.com/
