Wear Me With Tender Loving Care deals with public identity, the private individual and social status. The transformed fake fur coat has monstrous dominance through its appearance and associations of real fur. The title plays upon the instructions of the label, which commands its wearer to treat and clean as real fur. The form makes references to female petticoats (underwear) that are worn underneath heavy layers of clothing that we chose to wear in order to reveal and conceal our identities.
