Window Residency

I have been lucky enough to have been chosen to be an artist inresidence at the Elizabeth Packs department store in Ryde, Isle of Wight. ...to.."develop work in a temporary studio based in our window residency space. Residence will use the space as a working studio to continue with current work in development or to experiment with new ideas. The window is, by its nature, public facing and the residencies aredesigned to expose the creative process to the general public." ( @rydearts) I am planning to explore the cm centre thickness of glass where ideas from the outside, public space meets ideas from the inside private space. Bus stop immediately on the outside of the glass, and yet here I am working on the other side . The public will paint shapes that decribe how they are / identity / how they are feeling and I will be painting from the inside ....as the staring point. The final piece/s will be a 3 dimensional link between inside and out, public and private, life and visual expression.
