"Staging a Threadbare Dream", 2025 by Robert Sherratt

I became aware of the short film "RUKA" or "The Hand" a political allegory by Czechoslovakian animator Jiří Trnka whilst making this painting. The space above the puppet where you might expect a glimpse of the puppeteer is occupied by flowing rhythmical lines perhaps a representation of the algorithm.

The Car Parks Project: Detail - Slit, 2022 by Christina (Tina) Kutter

I am one third of the artist trio Room to Manoeuvre -

http://rtm-arts.org/

Seeking to evoke the atmosphere of Brutalist architecture in playful and thought provoking ways, The Car Parks Project was inspired by the multi-storey car parks of Plymouth built between 1950 and 1990 in the Brutalist style. The installation comprised individually and co-created works which toured various venues in the city and beyond.

Not Pictured But Also Present, 2025 by Adam York Gregory

In May, 2025, we were invited to document our time at GIFT, The Gateshead International Festival of Theatre.

We took two 35mm film cameras.

Not Pictured But Also Present is a document about the failings of documentation, the politics of place and liveness in a contemporary landscape.

What does it mean to “be there” when everything can be streamed?

You can purchase the book at https://amzn.eu/d/b6sNU8G

You can also get in touch if you'd like a PDF copy.
