Perce Jerrom

London
Perce Jerrom (b. 1985, Bristol, UK) lives and works in London. He completed the Fine Art MFA Programme at Goldsmiths University in 2019. Recently he awarded as a recipient of the Acme studios live/work programme.

Perce Jerrom’s conceptual multi-disciplinary practice is borne out of research into online cultures and creative actions partaken by individuals outside of the art world. Works of his are informed by sourced texts, images and events occurring on social media and the wider internet, this material often references and utilises charged symbols from consumer and popular culture. Which are then in turn, repurposed by Jerrom to discuss and investigate wider social and political issues. His pieces are created physically and digitally, working between sculpture, photography, video and installation, mimicking the memetic processes found online, formed by a perpetual restructuring and manipulation of existing objects and imagery.
