I'm a socially-engaged, undisciplined artist working across different mediums. I was born, bred and currently live in Halewood, Knowsley, although I consider myself to be a global artist. I make collaborative, participatory, experiential and process oriented work, using dialogue, movement and Deep Listening. I create work across art forms including live art, theatre, photography, performance intervention, site specific installation, sound and moving image, experimenting with process, participation and learning. The key focus of my work is the deep connection between art, healing and peace, exploring this through themes including identity, culture, gender, ritual, power and ideas of change. Using personal and collective histories and autobiographical narratives as a starting point, my work aims to create positive societal change through human transformation. I'm particularly interested in ideas around voice and visibility, and therefore the voiceless and invisible, and how dialogue and listening can create positive connections between and across different communities.

Since 2010, group exhibitions have included; Liverpool Biennial (2010), Threshold Festival (2016 & 2019), and both The Warrington Contemporary Arts Festival and Kirkby Open Exhibitions (2023). I’ve also created, shown and presented site specific, collaborative performance works with North Wales based artist, Trish Bermingham at HAUS Studios, Llandudno, Liverpool Independent Biennial and Llandudno Arts Weekend (LLAWN) (2018), also in group exhibitions at Plas Bodfa, Anglesey, North Wales, and ‘Out of Line’ for South Wales collective, ‘tactileBOSCH presents… ‘ show at LLAWN 2019.
