Lyndsay Martin

London
London based artist using employing a mixture of photography, found objects and film.

I am a London-based artist exploring the intricate physical and emotional landscapes woven into everyday life. My practice is rooted in an attentiveness to the overlooked—moments, textures, and objects that often go unnoticed, yet carry quiet emotional weight.

Using a multidisciplinary approach, I work with photography, fabric, found objects, and film to piece together narratives that blur the boundaries between the personal and the collective. These materials, often humble or ephemeral, serve as conduits for memory, fragility, and presence.

My work invites reflection on how we occupy our environments and how our internal states are shaped by the seemingly mundane. Through layering, assemblage, and sensory storytelling, I aim to create spaces of intimacy and contemplation—where viewers can pause, feel, and perhaps recognise something familiar within the unfamiliar.

I have exhibited both nationally and internationally with this year at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and the John Ruskin Prize. My past venues have included the York Art Gallery for the Aesthetica Art Prize, Scope Miami Art Fair, Brighton Photo Fringe and the Japan Media Arts Festival. Also showcasing work in the Saatchi Suite at the Hyatt Hotel and on Nick Knight's SHOWstudio blog.
