This painting is part of a series of works being made in relation to a piece of land in South Somerset that is changing rapidly through time. It was formerly fields where local people walked, then became an archaeological site prior to the commencement of building developments in the area. This transformation is being observed and documented via my practice. As well as focusing on aspects of the ancient site such as finds from the dig, wildlife and plants, the lives of people working there, and speculation on the future of the place influence the manifesting images.
