CULTIVATE AND CELEBRATE: Treasures of the Kitchen Garden - year long residency with two solo exhibtions of work created. This piece is: POTATO COUCH 1: get off the couch and into the garden. Hand-painted frame upholstered to artists' design with bespoke digitally printed fabric using potato plant imagery.Inspired by the rich Tatton Park Mansion furnishings (which must not be sat on) this piece turns the phrase 'Couch Potato' on its head to encourage getting out and growing your own food. Exhibited in Mansion Stateroom as part of Cultivate and Celebrate: treasures of the Kitchen Garden. The sub-images show related works from the same exhibition created from mixed media including fresh food plants.
