Cornwall (Layered Journey)

This painting explores a layered journey taken along the coastline of West Somerset and Cornwall. The painting layers views seen during a walking trip along the coastline, running from Minehead to Kilve and a couple places visited in Cornwall during 2019 to 2020. The image explores colour and form to produce an image that brings together the experience of walking in an area, taking in the ambience of the places visited and investigates how we build an image of places visited, remembering parts of a journey that come to mind, as we remember the day.
