Edge Licker (Tongue)

Graphite pencil on sculpted paper-clay, 2019 I made this form in order to create a challenge around drawing across three dimensions. The form of the tongue is reaching into space with the tip preparing to taste something. It's an agentive drawing, with the graphite covering the whole surface. It is capable of confronting the viewer as an object and as a drawing.
