Graphite pencil on sculpted paper-clay, 2018
This three-dimensional drawing of a hand is an evocation of the stigmata of Christ. It was made in response to a call out for works inspired by Julian of Norwich. The grey graphite blood flowing across the surface of the hand is cartoon like in places, the hand is in the pose of the wound reveal commonly seen in devotional ecclesiastical sculpture.
