Everybody's Legs

This screen print emerged from a series of drawings I made in the evening, sat in my living room.  These bright yellow dining chairs are dually symbolic to me, both representing my dream of having a dining area that people could come to us and sit round, but also the main pull to my eye when I am confined at home after my son goes to bed, due to my partner working a permanent night shift.
The chairs narrow, angled legs are always in a tangle and clattering about and I love that energy and the play on the title - it's everybody's chair legs but it's also where everybody's legs sit under the table when we're all together.
