Inheritance

This is a copper etching, depicting my 1980s transformer that I recently unearathed when clearing my stuff out of our soon-to-be-sold childhood home.
I immediately passed it on to my son, who was delighted with it, and it got me thinking about shaping inheritance and legacy.. how come this toy was selected to be kept in the Jenni box?  A parent must have cleared out my toys one day and decided this was important, and so it becomes an heirloom.
